Harkin Institute joins newly-founded disability inclusion initiative

The Harkin Institute for Public Policy & Citizen Engagement joined organizations from across the globe last month to establish the Global University Disability & Inclusion Network (GUDIN), an initiative with goals of making higher education more inclusive of students with disabilities and raising awareness among employers of talented graduates with disabilities.

The meeting coincided with The Harkin Institute’s Harkin International Disability Employment Summit in Paris, France, in April.

The initial GUDIN gathering featured important conversations about challenges facing individual institutions of higher education and the diversity of objectives and viewpoints internationally.
