Senator Tom Harkin (retired) has released the following statement on the passing of Senator Orrin Hatch.
“Orrin was always a likable conservative, and until the advent of the Trump administration, willing to work with liberals to find common ground and compromises. He was most helpful in keeping conservative Republicans on board for passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act in 1990. Ruth and I send our condolences to his family.”
